The Walk of Faith: Living a Prayer in the Real World
|
|
Surrendering
to the guidance of the Universe can become the most direct
journey to the high risk / high reward life of greatness which
awaits each of us.

|
A mystical pilgrimage
to Greece in 1998 became the divinely created metaphor for
author and speaker Kay Gilley to live the message she was
about to write in her third and fourth books. Sharing a
range of experiences that unfolded as she was guided throughout
the country, she explains how surrendering to the guidance
of the Universe can become the most direct journey to our
soul's intentions. Engaging in moment-by-moment communication
with the Universe, magic happened time and again. When we
live in continous communion, she will explain, our lives
become a prayer and we open the door to the high risk/high
reward life of greatness which awaits each of us.
Drawing on material from all three
of her books--Leading from the Heart, The Alchemy of Fear,
and The Game Called Life, Kay stories are spellbinding and
inspirational, as she invites listeners to find the courage
to do what they know in their hearts they are called to
do, even if...maybe even, especially if...it makes no sense
at all.
Kay Gilley has been described
as "the world's leading thinker on intention."
She is CEO and senior consultant of You Know in Your Heart
- Consulting & Press, a firm dedicated to guiding executives,
entrepreneurs and professionals as they discover peace,
passion and purpose in their work and in life. On November
7, she promises to expand our awareness of why and how we
create in partnership with the forces of the Universe.

Walk the
Labyrinth at the Early Meditation
You are invited
to walk a Labyrinth at SFF's early meditation on November
7. Labyrinths are ancient archetypes found in almost all
cultures around the world. Walking the labyrinth can be
a profound spiritual activity and can help one find spiritual
healing, discover deeper self-knowledge and release a flow
of creativity in one's life. The experience of walking a
Labyrinth is a metaphor for life's journey. You may walk
our Labyrinth any time between 6:30 and 7:00 PM in the Vaughn
wing of CUCC.
Teresa LaVoy, who
will create the Labyrinth and also lead the brief meditation
before the speaker, has been a student of the mystical and
metaphysical for many years. In 1997, she walked labyrinths
in France, Germany and Switzerland. She builds and works
with labyrinths for the healing of ourselves and of Mother
Earth. Teresa's goal is to have a Labyrinth outside every
legislative building and at every school in North Carolina.
Her website, LabyrinthsinNC.com
contains a list of labyrinths in North Carolina available
for walking.
