About the Workshop and Ordination
The Order of Melchizedek is a priesthood of individuals committed to teach and/or heal the human condition as it emerges into the Age of Aquarius. Priests are self-selected, and their ultimate commitment is between God and themselves to share in their own ways. Everyone is welcome. There is no dogma and no hierarchy.
According to Dan, Melchizedek was one of the incarnations of “The Christ” who came to earth without a birth experience and took the form of an androgynous spirit-like being, rather than a physical one. Dan says that the name of the order comes from Melchizedek, of the Old Testament, the “King of Salem” and “The Priest of the Most High God” who met with Abraham as he returned from his battles and gave him bread and wine, much like the Holy Communion of Jesus. Historically, Melchizedek appears in many religious texts and faiths and is held as a beloved teacher and prophet.
Dan describes the Priesthood of Melchizedek as “Friends of the Christ Consciousness” in all its forms, known and still to come. He writes, “We enter the earth plane to remind our sisters and brothers that the way back to God is through unconditional love and service, to self and others. And upon completion of that contract, we GRADUATE—there not being death! No one leaves here until their work is done!”
The book “The Order of Melchizedek: Love, Willing Service, & Fulfillment” by the Rev. Daniel Chesbro and the Rev. James Erickson is recommended reading for those being ordained into the priesthood. It is intended to answer questions about the history of the priesthood, about Melchizedek, and the teachings.
SFF is selling copies of the book for $17 at upcoming lectures while supplies last.
Upon ordination, participants will receive an “energy boost” to enhance the work that they are already doing. It is a brief and sacred ceremony with universal as well as individual impact. Dan will mail ordination certificates to new priests a few days after the ceremony.
Dan will offer a special workshop required for new priests as part of the ordination process. In the workshop, he will describe the history of the Melchizedek energies and incarnations, detail the story of the priesthood, and answer some of the following frequent questions:
- Who is Melchizedek and what is the Priesthood of Melchizedek?
- Where did it begin and what is its purpose and function in the Age of Aquarius?
- What are the legal ramifications and requirements in becoming a priest?
- Can you conduct weddings, funerals and baptisms?
- Where can you get guidelines and the right information for doing rituals and ceremonies?
- What books and ancient traditions should you consider reading and studying?
- What is the connection between the Cabala, The Book of Job, the principle of “The Law of One,” and Melchizedek?
- What about the ancient Essenes and “The School of the Prophets” in today’s society?
