Our January program with popular Durham astrologer\u00a0Bernie Ashman will focus on the key astrological cycles in\u00a02008, which reveal new trends that are fast approaching us.\u00a0He\u2019ll show us how these cycles can be used for new\u00a0opportunities to develop creative power; tell us when these\u00a0waves of new hope will reach their greatest heights; and help\u00a0us get ready to ride them forward with renewed energy.<\/p>\n

Bernie will interpret the energy running through each\u00a0month of the year to give us a general sense of the pulse of\u00a0the month\u2014how each can promise great energy for career,\u00a0travel, creativity, reflection, love, and spiritual growth. Some\u00a0cycles overlap and join \u201cat the hip,\u201d fusing the energies of\u00a0these months together. These sewn-together time periods\u00a0offer the building blocks to make desired changes in our\u00a0lives.<\/p>\n

As Bernie sees it, the creative forces will surprise all of\u00a0us in ways we never dreamed possible. The world is about to transform whether we like it or\u00a0not\u2014and change rarely comes without a little anxiety and\u00a0stress. In 1973, after he found (or was found by!) the book The\u00a0Astrology of Personality<\/em> by Dane Rudyhar in an Atlanta\u00a0bookstore, Bernie knew that astrology was his calling, and he\u00a0began studying diligently. By 1976 he had begun building\u00a0what became a large and faithful practice, consulting face-to-face or by telephone. He now has clients from all over the world, and has widened his scope to include writing, lecturing, teaching, and mentoring.<\/p>\n

He has published several popular astrology books including Astrological Games People Play, RoadMap
\nto your Future<\/em>, and SignMates<\/em>; and he has written the interpretive text for several astrological software programs such as Simpaticos<\/em> and Past Life Chart<\/em>, both in collaboration with Matrix Software. In late 2001, Llewellyn published Civilization Under Attack<\/em>, which includes a chapter by Bernie, \u201cPsychology of Terrorism<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n
