She will discuss the hidden and obvious risks, help us understand the shadow potential of the Age of Aquarius, and suggest the best ways to move through these uncertain waters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAstrology gives us specifics about the challenges and gifts we came into this individual life with, and it also gives us an idea of collective trends and possibilities,\u201d says Catherine, a 25-year veteran of astrology who studied with Daniel Giamario, Carolyn Cayce and Donna Cunningham \u201cEven people who don&#8217;t believe in astrology can intuitively or unconsciously pick up on the planetary energies or astrological weather.\u00a0Understanding the kind of seasons and climate created by the timing and movement of celestial\u00a0bodies helps us prepare and make better decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a mystery school of wisdom, astrology leads us towards self-actualization, a goal that should be a priority for all of us, now more than ever, says Catherine, who holds a MA in educational psychology. Famous Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Carl Jung, she notes, was asked about the best way to survive collective horror and insanity, like that which occurred during World War II, and the advice he gave was to be as self actualized as possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is only from this place of empowerment that we can overcome external pressures in order to listen to inner guidance. From this place we can best respond, rather than react, to life. As whole, empowered beings we make better decisions, and we have the grit and resilience and the strength of self to weather most any storm. It also allows us the dignity and grace to respond to negativity and violence\u00a0as well as to face our own inevitable passing with humanity, grace, wisdom and heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Like others, Catherine believes that the cosmos is conspiring to wake us up. She has been a Tarot reader since 1986, a hypnotherapist since 1992, an astrologer since 1995, and a psychic medium and trance channeler since 2002. She earned her master\u2019s in educational psychology from the University of Northern Colorado in 2018. She completed Brazilian shamanic studies in 2004 and studied at Arthur Findlay College in England.
