Walk-Ins:
Messengers for the Now
|
Concepts regarding help from other
dimensions are ancient. Is humanity being aided by incoming
souls, messengers, who take shortcuts to deliver an urgent message?Walk-ins,a
term coined by Ruth Montgomery, introduced an old concept made
new in our time. Montgomery has identified our October speaker,
Carol
Parrish,as a walk-in who entered human experience with a mission.
Hear Carol Parrish tell her story as we explore why
messengers enter into human form behind the personality of another.
Believing they are to assist in a desperately needed change
of awareness, a number of these individuals have revealed themselves
and their message. Parrish s discussion
of this topic, little understood and too often glamorized by
ego or ignorance, will provide new understanding of the process.
Messengers who embrace the challenge are
empowered by dedication to their work and their connection with
the inner world as they seek to serve. Others must come to understand
the significance of why the walk-in experience is permitted.
Parrish will present challenging ways to look at this controversial
issue.
Founder and director of the intentional community of Sparrow
Hawk Village, Pastor of Light of Christ Community Church and
Dean of its seminary, Sancta Sophia, Carol
Parrish always finds time for teaching and writing, her favorite
of many pursuits. Long recognized as an inspired spiritual leader,
Carol has stimulated many people to rejoice
in their oneness with God. Many find hope in her lucid explanations
of how certain fundamental truths, which underlie all major
religions, can guide us in these changing
times. Her presentation of the esoteric aspects of early Christianity,
free of doctrine and adornment, reinforces our acceptance of
the higher consciousness.
Dr.Parrish s most recent of many honors is the 1997-98
Earl Award for Religious Futurist of the Year. Her books include
Messengers of Hope:The Walk-in Phenomenon,
Adventure in Meditation, each of three volumes a winner
of
the annual Athena Award for Excellence in Mentoring, Reflections
,The New Dictionary of Spiritual Thought, The Book of Rituals,
The Aquarian Rosary and The New Age Handbook on Death
and Dying. We are delighted to welcome this renowned speaker
for a talk you will not want to miss!
