How would you choose to celebrate the new Millennium if you were devastated by divorce, grieving five major losses, clinically depressed and in the midst of a career crisis?

Realizing her life was the perfect set up for transformation, Rachel G. Rowlson headed to Ecuador, South America to learn from and receive healings from four Bird people Shamans. Join Rachel for a slide presentation and description of her journey into the culture and traditions of the Quechua of the Andes and the Shuar of the Rainforest, both descendants of the ancient Mayans.

Quilajalo, her first stop, is the home of Don Alberto Taxo, honored as Master Iachag (Shaman) by the Shaman Council of South America. She will share his messages about the prophesized union of the Condor (South America) and the Eagle (North America) and the details of her personal healing ceremony.

Sick with bronchitis and unable to speak from the first healing, Rachel then descended 2,000 feet to receive her second healing from the sacred Vine of Death, the Ayahuasca.
A guest of the fierce warriors and head shrinkers of the Amazon, Rachel witnessed a New Year's celebration in the Shuar village, drank masticated, fermented sacred chicha and ate a lunch of rodent with an honored warrior and his family. She will share her pictures of some of the medicinal plants of the rainforest and talk about the inner strength and cultural power of the Shuar natives.

After four days that included crocodile hunting, healings and studying plant and fauna, Rachel returned to the Andes to soak in hot volcanic pools before her second two healings. She will describe her ordeal of being beaten with stinging nettles for over 20 minutes during her healing with Maria and, a few days later, being engulfed with flames by Don Esteban. She will describe each of these healings in detail, what these great Bird Shamans want us to know, and how they think of us, the Eagles.

 

SFF Board Member Leads April Meditations
SFF Healing and Meditations Board Member Diana Henderson will lead both the early meditation and the brief meditation before the speaker at the April 4 meeting. At the early session, which begins at 6:30 in the Old Sanctuary (Clara Barton room), Diana will offer a channeled meditation. Please be on time if you wish to attend so as not to disturb the energy.

A Reiki Master/Teacher certified in DNA Activation and Therapeutic Breathwork, Diana has been leading meditations for many years. She often incorporates guided visualization in her healing work particularly with DNA Healing Techniques and Reiki and also teaches meditation classes. Diana¹s work as a spirit medium and trance channel have led her to do channeled meditations as well. She points out that her meditations always have been guided by Spirit, but now she sometimes uses trance to channel them. Diana also does spiritual or channeled readings.

Diana holds meetings of Metatron's Circle at her home in Willow Spring (between Garner and Fuquay-Varina). At these gatherings, she offers a group meditation and/or channeling. In addition to meditation classes and Reiki I, II and III, Diana teaches workshops in "Crystals and Gemstones" and "Developing Intuitive Gifts."
