The tarot is a unique
combination of centuries of esoteric lore, wisdom, and understanding
of the human condition conveniently packaged into a system of art
and symbols. With a minimum of training, we can use it to speak
directly to our subtle awareness and gain direct access to extraordinary
knowledge that anyone can immediately understand and use.
Beth
Owl’s Daughter believes it is time for us to take
a new look at this very old tool that, she is convinced, holds fantastic
potential for those of us who are willing to learn how to use it.
Let’s face it: Earth changes are profoundly affecting our
physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being; political discourse
has become increasingly angry and irrational; and socio-economic
pressures continue to push families to and beyond the breaking point.
Few would argue that we are living in pivotal times, and we can
use all the help we can get to navigate these stormy waters. How
can we thrive in such times rather than just survive? Beth says
the tarot can help.
Unlike other
arts and practices that require years of complex training and sophisticated
equipment, the tarot offers quick, reliable access to our own power.
Unlike practices in which the seeker is a passive recipient of guidance
or wisdom from someone with special training or power— dependent
upon someone else’s mastery and expertise—the tarot
enables us to see for ourselves.
In her talk on June 3,
Beth will show us how to begin to use the tarot for ourselves. As
with the game of chess, the basics are not difficult; and the more
you practice, the deeper you go, the more you will be rewarded for
your efforts—and the more you will always be learning, as
well.
For nearly four decades, Beth Owl’s Daughter has been a seer
and guide in the non-ordinary realms. She is a full-time intuitive
and an ordained inter-denominational minister; her passion is working
with the beautiful, mysterious tarot. She specializes in helping
leaders, innovators, and visionaries thrive while integrating career,
creativity, and spirituality. She lives in northern Durham County
and is available for private readings in person or worldwide by
phone. She offers small group intensives, and a variety of classes,
workshops, and seminars. She’s also a long-time and enthusiastic
supporter of SFF, participating in many of our annual Psychic &
Healing Fairs; in April she donated a tarot reading to us as a raffle
prize.
Beth is a member of the
American Tarot Association and the Tarot Association of the British
Isles; is an internationally recognized author and leader in the
tarot community, with many published articles, reviews, and columns
about the tarot; served as ethics columnist for the debut issue
of the former Tarot World Magazine; has been featured in many radio
interviews and podcasts; and is founder and organizer of one of
the world’s oldest and largest tarot (Meetup) social groups,
www.Meetup.com/TriangleTarot/. She’s on the Board of Directors
of Cherry Hill Seminary, the world's first and only graduate-level
educational institution for Pagan ministry. She practices in the
Reclaiming and Faerie traditions of the Craft and writes regularly
about magical, seasonal lore, as well as the tarot, on her blog,
www.owlsdaughter.com/owls-wings.

By the end of this evening with Beth, you
will have a foundation for accessing your own intuition in a reliable,
trustworthy manner, using the intuitive tool of the tarot. After
that, a lifetime of tarot adventure, discovery, and mastery will
be up to you!
